located in the hub of beautiful Lake Temagami in Ontario's
Near North. It is easily accessible to the mainland, yet
is very private and peaceful. The fishing enthusiast will
find the mighty lake trout, smallmouth bass, pickerel (walleye),
northern pike and whitefish. Clean,
comfortable, private waterfront cottages for 2 - 6 people.
Nearby, relax in our large outdoor hot tub (can accommodate
approx. 10 people).
In the winter, snowmobiling and ice fishing are the main

Our fully equipped and modern lakeside cottage
has three bedrooms and sleeps up to 10 people. Dryden had hundreds of miles of groomed snowmobile trails and old logging roads for hours and hours of fun. In addition to ice fishing and snowmobiling there are many other activities, which can be enjoyed in the winter.

of the largest lakes in the area. The most common species
are Walleye, Northern Pike, Small Mouth Bass, and Perch.
The massive Ontario snowmobile trail system is just a short
sled ride from the cottages door. Its 1100mi (2000km) of
groomed snowmobile trails winding through the Canadian wilds

Fall black bear hunting is the best in Ontario. Hunters have the opportunity of seeing black bear in excess of 500 lbs. Our black bear hunting management unit is almost half the size of Rhode Island. The 3rd largest black bear in North America was taken from the Red Lake area (750+ lbs).

 Toms Outpost Camps has one lake that is accessible for a wonderful winter ice fishing adventure. It is at Ara Lake. Ara Lake is one of our most popular summer fishing camps. The adventure begins long before you get to the camp. You will drive to a remote spot on a logging road and park your vehicles. You will unload your own snowmobiles and load up your gear and head out through the forest for about two miles until you reach the northwest end of Ara. From there it is ten miles across the frozen, snow covered ice until you reach the camp.
The trip getting there is worth going.
Now for the fishing; right out in front of the cabins within 500 to 600 yards is where most of the fishing is done. Tip ups for big Pike and jigging for nice Walleyes.
