Thessalon - Algoma Country

Thunder Valley Wilderness log cottages is a brand new 4-season destination. Fishing is excellent in Deer Lake for lake trout, small mouth bass, northern pike and perch. Kids will catch lots of small fish and the odd big one just fishing off shore. Bait and licenses are available locally.

Our spacious housekeeping two bedroom log cottages, each offering a spectacular view of the lake are reasonably priced and fully equipped for your comfort. Trails. lush serene woodlands rich with wild flowers and foliage are abundant with wildlife from deer and moose to beavers and turtles, with a diversity of birds.

Our log style fully equipped cottages are comfortable and our deluxe units are top shelf. Relax at the main lodge. Kids can fish from the shore, swim, hike or use our play-center.

We offer bear viewing in their natural habitat and there is a good chance of seeing moose, lynx, bald eagles, osprey, wolves and maybe the very rare cougar.
