Vancouver
Island is home to the largest population of resident Orcas (Killer
Whales) in the world. Three pods of Orcas, totalling over 90 whales
inhabit the waters near Victoria, the Gulf Islands and the U.S.
San Juan Islands. The Orcas are very active and very social from
May through October in the local waters of British Columbia.
